Foundations of CPYC Race Committee

Cedar Point Yacht Club has a long history of running hundreds of club races and National regattas at the highest level every season. This is possible because of our dedicated members who volunteer and are eager to learn about Race Committee each year! Race committee is a great way to get out on the water and meet members across fleets. It is also the cornerstone of our volunteer effort and every member is expected to do  their part so we can all enjoy our shared passion - sailboat racing.

There are jobs for everyone, sailors and non-sailors alike.

Foundations of CPYC Race Committee
Thursday, May 1st
7pm - 9pm

• Come join us for an evening of learning the Fundamentals of CPYC Race Committee. We will review CPYC’s NORs, Sailing Instructions, Flags, Sounds, Recording duties and have a Q&A at the end.

• Open to CPYC members and their crew, but will be of particular interest for those members who are new to racing and race committee work.

• Participants will receive a copy of US Sailing's "Join the Race Committee Team!" booklet.

On water Race Committee training opportunities will follow.

Our goal is that after attending this training, you will feel more comfortable volunteering for race committee with your new found knowledge and confidence!
