CPYC will host the 75th running of the International Lightning Class North American Championship in August 2013.

CPYC has been home to Lightning Fleet 126 for over 40 years.  The race schedule includes a Saturday summer series and three Commodore's Cup Series over the holiday weekends. CPYC also runs a one day Early Bird Regatta in late May and for 2012 will hold the CT / RI / Metropolitan Districts and 2013 NAs Tune-Up Event on June 16 - 17.  Typically this means around 30 races each season without ever having to hook up a trailer!

The Lightning is a 19 foot, three person boat with an outstanding class organization and fleets throughout the US and the world. The boat is affordable, fun to sail, and has withstood the test of time.
