Sporty Boats now accepted at CPYC for 2013!! - Posted on Thursday, May 09, 2013

Town Hall Meeting 2013-

Also discussed at the Town Hall, the Board of Governors agreed to allow small sailing sport boats to be stored on the hard this season. There were several reasons for the decision. First, the basin is expected to be filled again this year. Second, we have been approached by several people asking for storage of these sport boats. Third, we have a few current members who have purchased one of these boats. They will race with the PHRF boats on Wednesday night and Sunday. Per the House Rules, the owners will have to submit a written request to store the boats on the hard, and we will control what boats are stored. This sport boat program will be reviewed annually by the Board of Governors.

Two of the hottest classes right now are the J/70's and Viper 640's. If you are interested in the 70 contact McMichael's and if you would like info on the Viper 640 go to- http://www.viper640.org/fleets/lis. There are a number of good used boats for sale to get into this fast growing class.

Cheers and sail fast!
